Make your text reader-friendly and resort to verbal style. Common companions to the nominal style are passive constructions. Passive may be necessary if you want to remain neutral in the background as an author. However, a scientific text full of passive constructions looks ponderous – make your work more active!

As you can see, when writing a scientific paper, there are a few things you should keep in mind to ensure that your work shines not only in terms of content but also in terms of style.
